LOUISBURG, N.C. — Visitation will take place Thursday evening for a woman shot and killed at a Louisburg business earlier this week.

Amy Calamaco Alvarez, 22, was shot to death at her work Tuesday morning. Visitation is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home in Louisburg. She will be buried 11 a.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery.

Authorities are investigating the possibility that Calamaco Alvarez had talked with her alleged killer online.

Police Chief Rick Lassiter said Jarold Obrien Lee's phone number was stored in Calamaco Alvarez's favorites, further indicating the two knew one another. Police also have subpoenaed cell phone records.

How they knew each other remained unclear, however. Lee was from Woodson, Ark., and apparently had driven to Louisburg to meet with Calamaco Alvarez.

Lee was on probation in Arkansas for a burglary conviction in an incident in which he drove his car through a woman's garage door. The woman's family said nothing was stolen. Police say it could show Lee had a history of domestic violence.

A memorial fund has also been established: Amy Calamaco Alvarez Memorial Fund, c/o House of Light Church of God, 481 Huford Harris Road, Spring Hope, N.C. 27882.
