Six Forks Road Reopened After Wreck

Police reopened Six Forks Road around noon after crews completed repairs to utility poles.

Around 6 a.m., an accident knocked down a power pole, taking out the traffic lights at the intersection with Shelley Road. Crews took about six hours to complete repairs.

Police shut down all four lanes of the Six Forks and cut off access from Shelley, causing some disruption during the morning commute.

The closure increased the amount of traffic on nearby streets, including Millbrook and Falls of Neuse roads.

I'm not sure I understand your post....

Are you saying that since drive time conditions require a "dog eat dog" mentality that it's OK to not allow this poor fellow out of his driveway and into trafic?

I was just curious - Thanks

Ksw1,

It's a war out there in the morning.. dog eat dog driving.. This isn't 11am or 2pm where the mommies are running around driving 10 below the speed limit.

"next time leave early" 050462"

Hopefully there won't be a next time. The boys in blue should detour that much traffic to a 4 lane rd and not through a neighborhood with children standing on the corner waiting for their school bus. I agree with Deacons that even if you left early, it was a mess trying to get out of your driveway. Canes06, I am sure glad Deacons and I gave you the first laugh of the day.

"next time leave early"..

"OMG. that just made my day...lol"

Skeeter / Deacons - These posters are probobly some of the same folks who would not let you in traffic this AM -

050462: NEXT TIME do not post a ridiculous comment.
