Winston-Salem Sees Overnight Robbery Spree

Winston-Salem Police responded to four reports of armed robberies within Thursday night.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem Police responded to four reports of armed robberies within Thursday night.

At 8:45 p.m., police were called to the Tienda Mexicana restaurant after two men, one of them armed with a handgun, took an unknown amount of cash. No one was injured.

The second call came at 10:10 p.m., when a woman claimed an armed man came into her home and took her wallet and cell phone.

An hour later, police went the Tierra Calienta convenience store were a man allegedly pointed a gun at the clerk as another man took cash.

New Vision Video store was robbed just after midnight. Police said the clerk was injured as an armed man demanded money and a second suspect took cash.

Anyone with information is asked to call Winston-Salem police.
