Downtown Raleigh Turns Green for St. Patrick's Day Parade

Fayetteville Street was striped green Friday afternoon to mark the route of the 26th annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Downtown Raleigh's Fayetteville Street was striped green Friday afternoon to mark the route of the 26th annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

More than 3,500 marchers, floats and bands step off from the corner of Cabarrus and Wilmington streets at noon Saturday, rain or shine. The parade will be followed by a festival in Moore Square.
