Two of four men held in connection with selling live military ammunition to a Raleigh scrap-metal recycling plant were ordered held without bond.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Two of four men held in connection with selling live military ammunition to a Raleigh scrap-metal recycling plant were ordered held without bond.

Adrian Nunez-Aviles and Javier Gomez-Urieta were arrested two weeks ago on immigration charges. Federal and local authorities also are questioning the men in connection with almost three dozen explosive devices found at Raleigh Metals Recyclers.

Two workers were injured on Feb. 12 when one of the devices went off as a load of scrap metal was processed at the Garner Road plant. Munitions experts from Fort Bragg located and detonated another 33 devices at the plant over the next four days.

Salvador Gomez-Urieta, Javier Gomez-Urieta's brother, and Manuel Sanchez Uriosteget also are being held for questioning in the case.

Authorities searched a mobile home park in Sanford where at least two of the men live and found similar spent and live military ammunition in the yards.
