RALEIGH, N.C. — Clinton Police have identified two people they believe were in the car when a drive-by shooting injured Marcus London at the More Cut Barbershop Feb. 16.
London was struck in the head while he sat in a barber chair inside the shop. He remains at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. His condition has upgraded from critical to serious, Clinton Police Chief Mike Brim said Thursday. Other shots were fired at the barbershop, but no one else was injured.
Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Michael Lee Wright Jr., 20, of 22 Mint Hill Ln. in Clinton on charges of discharging a weapon into an occupied property, possession of a firearm by felon, attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
They are also seeking Terry Oats, who they believe was a passenger in the car at the time of the shooting.
