Durham, N.C. — Durham police are trying to locate a 1-year-old girl who “may be in danger.”
Zamiyah Clemons was taken from her home on Dupree Street Tuesday night by her mother, who does not have custody, police said.
Zamiyah is described as a black female, 2 feet tall and weighing approximately 21 pounds. She was last seen wearing white tennis shoes, a pink blouse and blue jeans.
Her mother, April Clemons, was in a white SUV with a male and a female when she was seen on Dupree Street.
Clemons, 21, is described as a black female, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds. She is known to frequent the area of McDougald Terrace.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Zamiyah Clemons is asked to call 911.

Yes, I just pray the mother will use wisdom and NOT harm the baby and return the child to safety and seek help herself. I'm sure she wants to see the child, but go about it correctly.

Did you ever hear of Susan Smith? yes unfortunatly there are some mothers out there that would hurt her children. lets all pray she will be safe.

Maybe she wouldn't intentionally hurt her child, but if she is a neglectful mom, drug addict or has other issues, the child could be in danger in other ways. My two cents too. ;-)
