5 Men Escape From Detention Facility in Pittsboro

Five men escaped Monday night from a detention facility in Pittsboro. It happened at about 11:30 p.m.

The escapees were identified as:

Adrian Carlos Reyes, 24, of 78 Dogwood Knoll in Chapel Hill, was being held for first degree rape and felonious indecent liberties with a minor.

Stewart Wendell Baldwin, 30, of 130 Mann's Chapel Rd. in Pittsboro, was being held for felonious drug charges and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Kyle Evan Kettey, 22, of 185-C Morris Rd. in Pittsboro, was being held for felonious breaking, entering and larceny.

Brian Keith Blackwell, 32, of 41 Rocky Brook Mobile Home Park in Carrboro, was being held for felonious drug charges.

James Austin Tarrer, 16, of 2480 Hadley Mill Rd. in Pittsboro,  also escaped but was quickly captured, deputies said.

The Chatham County Sheriff's Office has not said yet how the men got out of the facility at 295 West St. in Pittsboro.
