Spring Lake, N.C. — A fatal stabbing at a Spring Lake home Sunday night is being investigated by homicide detectives, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said.
Terrance Anthony Brockington, 42, of 103 N. Mitchley St., was lying on the lawn of the house when police responded to a call about a disturbance, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Tanna said. The call came in shortly before 8 p.m.
Brockington died shortly after arriving at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, Tanna said. His body was sent to the state Chief Medical Examiner's office in Chapel Hill for an autopsy, Tanna said.
