Police Search For Raleigh Bank Robber

A man robbed a Suntrust bank Monday in east Raleigh, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Suntrust Bank in east Raleigh.

The robbery occurred shortly after 10 a.m. at the branch at 5135 New Hope Road. The man walked into the bank and handed a note to the teller announcing a robbery, police said.

After the teller handed over the money, the man left the bank and was last seen fleeing on foot.

Police described the robber as a black man standing 5 feet 8 inches tall to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 180 to 200 pounds.
