A Hope Mills woman who was the subject of a statewide Silver Alert was located Wednesday morning.

<b>HOPE MILLS, N.C.</b> — Authorities said a missing Hope Mills woman has been found safe.

Ruby Cummings Kennedy's car ran out of gas Tuesday, authorities said. A state trooper found her Wednesday morning and provided her with gas, so she was able to return home.

The 82-year-old left 330 Forest Lake Drive at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was last seen traveling on N.C. Highway 53 in Bladen County.
