Clinton Campaigns for Wife in Raleigh

Former President Bill Clinton arrived in the Triangle Monday night, after winter weather foiled his first attempt.

Last week, Clinton was supposed to make an appearance at Brier Creek Country Club at a fundraiser for his wife's campaign. He postponed the event after his flight was delayed in New Jersey due to bad weather.

Admission to the private fundraiser for Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign was $1,000 per person. For $2,300, donors were invited to a smaller reception that included a photograph with the former president.

Bill Clinton spent much of Monday stumping for his wife in South Carolina.

Hillary Clinton was campaigning in Iowa and did not attend the event. The Democratic presidential hopeful plans to visit all 99 counties in Iowa over the next five days.
