A WRAL-TV holiday tradition continues this year as the station's 300-foot TV tower is transformed into a 300-foot Christmas tree.

Located at the WRAL-TV Studios at 2619 Western Boulevard in Raleigh, the lighted tower can be seen for miles through New Year's Day.

Three 5-foot stars adorn the top of the tower and 2,805 colored lights keep it glowing throughout the holiday season.

Performances for the "Tower of Lights" special included Raleigh Jazz Orchestra, Tar Heel Voices and soloist Evette Anderson of Durham.
WRAL's anchors also lead viewers to the fabulous Lake Myra lights in Wendell. For a map and directions, click here.
This year's tower lighting made history, being the first time a local TV station has streamed live video on mobile phones.
