Suspect in Saw Attack Faces More Charges
A man charged with attacking a Duke University graduate student with a saw two weeks ago has been charged in connection with other crimes, police said Tuesday.

David Hill, of 1411 Sedgefield St., has been charged with first-degree rape and first-degree kidnapping in an Oct. 10 case on West Club Boulevard. He also has been charged with five counts of felony breaking and entering and one count of misdemeanor breaking and entering in a series of burglaries over the past six weeks on Sprunt Street, Ninth Street, Englewood Avenue, Green Street, Clarendon Street and Lancaster Street.
Hill was arrested on Nov. 9 at a Howard Johnson Motor Inn on Hillandale Road and charged in a Nov. 7 attack on a Duke graduate student in her Lancaster Street apartment. Police said he broke in, assaulted the woman with a saw, robbed her and stole her Subaru Forrester.
