Wake — One person was killed and five people were injured when a car and van collided Wednesday morning on Creedmoor Road just south of N.C. Highway 98.
A Pontiac Fiero was headed south on Creedmoor Road when it spun and crossed into the path of a northbound Chevrolet Astrovan with a driver and four passengers.
The driver of the Fiero, whose name has not been released pending notification of relatives, was killed. The five people in the van had non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident happened before 10:30 a.m. Heavy rains were moving through Wake County at the time of the accident, but it is unknown if weather was a factor.
