Knightdale, N.C. — Crews repaired a 12-inch water line rupture Wednesday that led to the loss of 500,000 gallons in Knightdale.
The break happened early Wednesday on Laurens Way near Clay Hill Drive. Raleigh water treatement plant operators learned about the break when they noticed water levels dropping.
Knightdale police located the rupture and directed repair crews to the area.
Eight homes were without water for nearly eight hours. Bottled water was delivered to residents affected by the .
