Scott Harrison Aug. 20 Statement

Through his attorney, North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Scott Harrison released the following statement on Wake County District Attorney Colon Willoughby's decision to dismiss charges in cases brought by him.

“I respectfully but strongly disagree with the District Attorney’s decision, but the decision was not in my hands. I urge the public to go through each case, look at the validity of the arrests and the alcohol content levels and let the people of North Carolina decide for themselves. I also strongly disagree with Judge Stephen’s ruling as I do not believe the evidence supports a finding of any unlawful pattern of arrests made during my 11 years in law enforcement.”
