Road Block Fails To Turn Up New Clues in Kidnapping/Murder

It's been one week since Brittany Locklear disappeared from a school bus stop near her home. Deputies are still looking for the person who abducted and killed the 5-year-old Hoke County girl.

Wednesday, investigators stopped drivers near that bus stop hoping to get new clues in the case, but the hunt for her killer has apparently stalled. Hoke County Sheriff Wayne Byrd had hoped the roadblock would breathe new life into the investigation.

He is asking anyone who thinks they might have information about this case to call his department at1-800-496-3803.

The state is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
