ROCKY MOUNT — Emergency crews are on the scene of an overturned gasoline tanker in Rocky Mount.
The accident occurred at the corner of North Church Street and Highway 64 at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. At 12:30, crews were still working to clean the site and right the truck.
The overturned tanker started did start leaking, but crews managed to contain the spill. It is not known if an evacuation was ordered, or if anyone was injured. Traffic is now being detoured around the accident scene.
