The holidays are a time for family and loved-ones. But for one family, the holidays will be extra bright, as a father is finally reunited with his son and his grandchildren.

It's a Christmas gift that Dr. Kelly Tao has waited for nearly four decades. Tao was finally reunited Sunday with his family after being forced into a Communist labor camp in China back in 1959. Tao's son was seven years old at the time.

Tao's father found out where he was six months after he disappeared. But there was nothing anyone could do to help. Since Tao was released from the camp in 1980, he has only seen his son and grandchildren once.

With the arrival of a flight at RDU, Tao's family was brought together for good, just in time for the holidays.

"We're finally a family together," Tao says. "We're very happy."

Tao and his family will spend the holidays together in Maryland with his two sisters. As for gifts, Tao says he already has his.
