911 Worker Sentenced in Drug Case

WINSTON-SALEM — A federal judge sentenced a former Durham9-1-1 dispatcher to seven years in prison for dealing crackcocaine.

Antonio Autry was sentenced yesterday in federal court inWinston-Salem after he pleaded guilty to a drug conspiracy count.

The 37-year-old Autry was arrested after he talked about drugdeals on phone lines at the 9-1-1 center. Investigators nevercaught Autry with drugs but arrested him based on what he said.

Authorities said Autry was a cocaine addict who sold drugs tofeed his habit.

After serving his seven-year prison sentence, Autry faces fiveyears of supervised probation and treatment for drug and alcoholaddiction.
