CHAPEL HILL — The Grinch who stole Christmas has givenup the Dr. Seuss town of Whoville in favor of Chapel Hill. Flags, lights,dozens of wreaths, alive Christmas tree, and even Frosty and some of his friends were foundstashed in a University of North Carolina fraternity house.
A woman saw someone stealing some of her own decorations, and followedthe person back to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house. When policearrived, they found the place decked out with stolen holiday items.
No charges have been filed in the case.
Anyone in Chapel Hill who is missing some decorations and think youmight have been a victim of this thief should call Chapel Hill policetomorrow morning after 8:30 at919-968-2767.
