LILLINGTON — In Harnett County, constituents stood up to their commissioners,and this morning they're thankful they got what they wanted.
Commissioners wanted to build a new courthouse, away from downtownLillington.But residents worried the move would hurt business, so they filed a lawsuit.
Wednesday, a Superior Court judge ruled that an old law requiring the courthouse to remain downtown still stands, ending debate over whether to build the new building.
