RALEIGH — A Raleigh convenience storeclerk was shot during a robbery attempt Tuesday morning, and police werestill searching for a suspect at noon.
The shooting occurred about 11 a.m. at the Newcomb Market on Newcomb Roadsouth of the Beltline off Old Garner Road. After shooting the clerk, therobber hailed a cab to the intersection of Old Garner Road and BraggStreet.
The name and condition of the store clerk was not immediately available.
