RALEIGH — Police and rescue crews are on the scene of head-on collision that hasreportedly left one person dead and many others injured. The wreckhappened on the outer beltline at Western Boulevard shortly before 10:00p.m.
Officers say it appears a car crossed the median, striking one vehiclehead-on, and causing the crash of a number of other vehicles. Traffic inthe area has been rerouted from the Beltline to Hillsborough Street whilethe scene is cleared.
