Juvenile Offenders Removing Graffiti

print friendly

A Fayetteville grocery store got a face-lift Saturday at the hands of some kids who wound up on the wrong side of the law. Some juvenile offenders who had been ordered to do community service spent the day painting over graffiti at a Fayetteville Kroger store.

The store has been targeted by vandals several times, so police supervised as teens in trouble cleaned up. Lee Nichols of the Juvenile Restitution Program says this is an appropriate task for the kids.

Police officers say this is a good way to help young criminals. The paint was donated.
