RALEIGH — As the days advance, red, orange and goldautumn leaves are drifting down on lawns and sidewalks. So once again, thesound of the leaf blower is heard in the land -- and so is the scratch ofrakes.
The city of Raleigh is ready to help out -- it begins the seasonalleaf collection programtoday.
Crews will begin collections on the east side of Atlantic Avenue and coverthe city in a clockwise direction.
Residents are asked to rake leaves to the curb and not to pileleaves in the street or along the gutter.
