FORT BRAGG — Being situated near Fort Bragg is provingto be beneficial for two nearby counties. The US House of Representativeshas agreed to transfer 50 acres of Fort Bragg property to the Town ofSpring Lake in Cumberland County.
The town plans to use the property to improve access to its sewerplant. It could also help to attract businesses to the area.
Harnett County will also get some land from the post. Fort Braggwill give 157 acres to that county for use in building schools.
