Rague Ricardo DeLeom was arrested near the El Mexi Lindo nightclub onGeorge Street, site of the shootings that occurred about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill andinflicting serious injury. Other arrests are pending.
According to police, one man, identified as Salgado P. Emin-Otoniel,has died from gunshot wounds.
Authorities have not said what led to the shooting, nor specified howmany suspects they are now seeking.
Hector Mejia was airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital where he was listedin critical condition. He had been shot in the stomach.
Edgardo Martinez was released from Wayne Memorial Hospital followingtreatment for his injuries. Two other men underwent surgery Sunday andare listed in satisfactory condition.
Carlos Martinez said men came in with guns and started shooting andthey shot his brother.
