High School Students Raising Money for Memorial Scholarship Fund
Posted October 3, 1997
FAYETTEVILLE — Some high school students have come up with a special way to honor the two state lawmen killed along I-95 last week.
South View High School will begin raising money at its football game Friday night. The money will be used for a scholarship fund, in memory of Deputy David Hathcock and Trooper Ed Lowry.
Each year, the scholarship will be given to children of law enforcement officers, or students who would like to be officers themselves one day.
