CHAPEL HILL — The family of a woman who died in the care of a Chapel Hill nursing home is suing over her death. Martha Harrisdied last December at Britthaven of Chapel Hill.
The Alzheimers patient fell out of her bed and became entangled inher restraints. The suit claims the home was negligent because they knewof her condition and previous problems with the restraints.
The suit comes on top of a $500,000 dollar fine already levied byfederal regulators.
