CHAPEL HILL — A UNC-Chapel Hill student is in stable condition Thursday morning afterfalling from a fourth story dorm bathroom window.
UNC Police said 18-year-old James Bumgardner was with friends at WinstonDorm when they decided to climb out on the roof for a smoke around 3:30a.m. On the way back inside, Bumgardner slipped on the window ledge, fellinto a tree and then rolled onto the ground.
Bamgardner was taken to UNC Hospitals, and police said the incident wasalcohol-related.
