Women Who Won Suit Against Durham Want More
Posted September 9, 1997
DURHAM — Two women who won a $295,000 settlement from the City of Durham now say they want court records in the case to be opened.
The sisters sued over excessive use of police force during a 1994 drug search near their home. They want the records opened so everyone can see what happened to them.
City officials disagree and are asking a judge to keep the documents closed.
