RAEFORD — There are new details to report in the Hoke County Sheriff's Departmentshooting that left one man dead. However, the new information is notanswering David Sivak's family's questions about exactly why he was shotand killed five days ago.
The Hoke County Sheriff and the SBI told family members Sivak tried to rundown Deputy Frank Hicks several times before the shooting.
The death certificate shows Sivak died from a bullet wound to the back.But investigators wouldn't answer any questions about how many shots werefired.
Deputy Hicks remains on adminstrative leave with pay.
