Posted August 23, 1997
CLINTON — Senator Lauch Faircloth had some uninvited guests at his home in in Clinton Saturday. Busloads of Washington residents spent the afternoon protesting in front of his home.
They're angry because Faircloth sponsored a federal assistance package designed to save the nation's capitol from financial ruin. They say the the bill strips their elected leaders of most of their powers.
