Harnett Co. Woman Found Stabbed to Death

LILLINGTON — There's a frighteningstory out of Harnett County for anyone who lives alone or who has an elderlyloved one who does. A woman found her 66-year-old aunt stabbed to deathin her home yesterday. 

Deputies say they have no leads yet. They say Christine Poole livedalone and that there was no sign of forced entry into her home. The doorsand windows were all locked, and deputies say that could mean Poole knewher killer. There were no broken windows and nothing was out of place atthe rural residence. 

Friends, family and residents of the area say they will not rest untilthey have some answers. Carlos Cameron, the victim's nephew says he wantsto know who did this. 

 

The crime is tearing a community apart. Poole had moved into the houseafter relocating from Washington, D.C. just 11 months prior to her death.Family members say she moved to get away from the crime in the nation'scapital.
