KINSTON — Kinston residents are reacting to recent sewage spills in their city. Tuesday, the North Carolina Division of Water Quality cited Kinston for 46 violations in connection with four unreported sewage spills at the community's wastewater treatment plant.
City leaders claim they didn't know they had to report the incidents.
Sewage problems keep mounting in Kinston. In the past four years, regulators cited the city 11 times.
