RALEIGH — The Harnett County woman who said demons told her to strangle her son is not competent to stand trial. That's the finding of a Dorthea Dix Mental Hospital psychiatrist.
Just hours after Keturah Reese buried her eight-year-old son last September, police arrested her for the child's murder. Psychiatrist James Groce says Reese suffers from severe depression and psychoses.
Prosecutors had hoped to begin her murder trial next month.
