Kidnapped Baby Found at Ft. Bragg
FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Authorities said the biological grandfather of a kidnapped infant is behind bars in Mississippi.

Investigators said Joseph Richard Triste surrendered to authorities Tuesday. Authorities said he was involved with the abduction of Madison Erickson from her adoptive family in Mississippi.

Authorities said three masked people broke into the adoptive family's home and abducted her at gunpoint. The baby was found 18 hours later at a home in Fort Bragg.

Triste, along with Jamie Kiefer, the child's biological mother, and Kiefer's sister, Rikki Swann, have been charged with kidnapping and armed robbery, authorities said.

Authorities said they believe Kiefer changed her mind about placing the child for adoption and decided to kidnap her. Erickson has been returned to her adoptive parents.
