Jury Deadlocked in Drunk Driving Case

RALEIGH — The jury weighing the fate of a young Carywoman has been unable to agree on a verdict. Jennifer Hardin, 20,is accused of driving while intoxicated and causing a deadly accident inJune of 1996.

The judge has declared a mistrial in the case. The jury couldn'tdecide if she was guilty of involuntary manslaughter or lesser midemeanorcharges.
