Jury Deadlocked in Drunk Driving Case

RALEIGH — The jury weighing the fate of a young Cary woman has been unable to agree on a verdict. Jennifer Hardin, 20, is accused of driving while intoxicated and causing a deadly accident in June of 1996.
The judge has declared a mistrial in the case. The jury couldn't decide if she was guilty of involuntary manslaughter or lesser midemeanor charges.
