FORT BRAGG — Trying to pinch pennies, some young Fort Bragg soldiers have lived in poor conditions off-post.
Last year, Fort Bragg began inspecting mobile home parks, insisting on minimum standards.
Now, a housing task force has come up with several new programs. Those programs will save soldiers money, improve conditions, and help landlords collect what is owed to them.
Victor Cirello owns a mobile home park in Spring Lake, and he looks forward to the new housing programs.
The housing task force will hold forums Saturday for landlords to explain the programs and rally support for them.
