DURHAM — Durham County deputies say they've arrested a man who's been terrorizingwomen drivers. He admittedly rammed their cars with his car.
Twenty-two-year-old Robert Sanford is charged with assault with a deadlyweapon with intent to kill. He told police he often slammed into womendrivers from behind and sped away.
Deputies say Sanford struck six times in Northern Durham county over thelast two months. Durham County Sheriff Worth Hill says the fact that Sanford struck several times helped with the investigation made iteasier to zero in on him.
Sanford's car has been impounded and will be used as evidence.Investigators say Sanford confessed, and explained that he hasa "problem with women."
