Fighting Rule May Have a Fighting Chance

OXFORD — Granville County school officials are getting tough on kids who continually fight. The school board is considering enacting a "two-strikes and you're out" policy this fall.
Kindergarten through 6th graders caught fighting would face mandatory suspension after the second offense. Principals are concerned about how to fairly enforce a fighting rule.
The proposal will get a second hearing in August.
