ASHEBORO — A Randolph County hog farm may be shutting its doors by day's end. Theattorney general says he's obtained a court order to shut down N.G. Purvisfarm.
Mike Easley says the farm is a public nuisance, and that it failed to complywith an earlier court order. N.G. Purvis is blamed for two hog wastespills.
Easley says he's sending a tough message and warning to farmers: they'llnot be allowed to ignore regulations.
