The gunman and two others left the court area in a brown 1997 Toyota Camry with Virginia license plates.
Dean identified one of the trio as Brian "B" Liles, who was a freshman at N.C. Central University in 1996. A second man is called "Squirrel," and the man who wielded the gun was described as a black man with light complexion and Hispanic features.
The shooting victim was not identified.
