Native American Spirit Alive at Farmer's Market

Posted May 31, 1997

— It wasn't only the fruits, vegetables, plants, and fish that got the attention Saturday at the state Farmer's Market.

There's a real "pow-wow" going on this weekend to teach people about Native American culture. The event is sponsored by the Triangle Native American Society.

If you didn't get a chance to take part Saturday, the event continues Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. In addition to the traditional dances, there's plenty of Native American delicacys, arts, and crafts.
