Arson Investigators Probe Fayetteville Church Fire

FAYETTEVILLE — Arson investigators probe for clues as to what caused a fire that destroyed a church near Fayetteville early Thursday morning.
Parts of Genesis Free Will Baptist burned to the ground and investigators are still trying to decide if an arsonist is responsible.
Police say the building next to the church was broken into, but investigators are not sure if that is where the fire began. No one was injured.
There haven't been any services in the church for the last 18 months, but church records are stored in the building. The mixed-race congregation meets in another building in Hope Mills.
