PEMBROKE — A Pembroke teen-ager went swimming Saturdaynight with a group of friends, but for him the outing had fatalconsequences.
Friends say 15-year-old Russell Lambert went under the water and nevercame back up.
After searching their swimming site in the Lumber River, the otherteens were able to bring Lambert out of the water.
Rescue crews tried to revive him, but Lambert died a short time laterat a local hospital.
