Project Hope Strives to Break Down Language Barriers

FUQUAY VARINA — A new program is reaching out to Wake County's Latino community. Thegoal-- to educate the community about natural disasters and break downlanguage barriers.

It's called Project Hope. The program was started after hurricane Franwhen many people didn't know where to go for help. Saturday, members ofProject Hope met at the Flea Market in Fuquay Varina to providelife-saving information.

The project workers split up into four teams. Each team goes to areaschools and churches to answer questions and provide information aboutnatural disasters.
